Kimberley Vickers
Hi, I’m Kimberley Vickers — a creative lass from the North East of England who believes art is good for the soul. I’m married to my wonderful husband Chris, and I’m a proud mum to our two boys, Caleb and Noah, who inspire me every single day with their curiosity, humour, and energy.
Art has always been my calm place. I’m happiest when I’m creating something with my hands — drawing, painting, crafting, or experimenting with new materials. I love the process more than the end result: the smudging, layering, correcting, and watching something slowly come to life. There’s a peaceful, almost spa-like feeling in that moment where everything else fades away and it’s just me and the page.
Inktober has become a big part of that. Each year it resets my creativity, pushes me out of my comfort zone, and reminds me why traditional, handmade art feels so grounding. This year especially, I kept things simple in my little bedroom art space — real pens, real paper, real time. No shortcuts, no filters, no AI doing the work. I’m a bit old school that way… I like feeling the materials, seeing the imperfections, and knowing the work came from my own hands.
Across my YouTube channels, I share this creative process openly — drawing timelapses, calming moments in the garden, simple handmade projects, and little pockets of everyday life. As a family, we also love building LEGO together. It’s one of our quiet bonding things and sometimes finds its way into my content naturally. I’m also a Tropic Skincare ambassador and share the products I genuinely use and enjoy.
My faith helps me stay grounded, positive, and focused on what really matters: family, kindness, creativity, and living a simple, authentic life.
I create one-off pieces — never conveyor-belt art. Each piece has its own little story. While I’m not currently producing prints myself, if someone working in design, illustration, or product development happens to come across my work and feels it could suit a future collection or project, I’m always open to a quiet conversation. Just planting the seed gently.Â
My hope is simple: that my work brings calm, inspiration, and encouragement to anyone who sees it. If even one person — adult or child — feels motivated to pick up a pencil and have a go, then that makes me genuinely happy.
